Instructions/Information
Letters to George is a unique way for Mason students who are studying overseas to share their experiences with visitors to Mason’s web site. Participating in study-abroad or internship opportunities around the globe allows students to gain firsthand knowledge of global processes and experience different cultures. We invite you to share with us what you have learned while studying abroad and we will post your Letter to George on the Mason Worldwide web site.
To send your Letter to George, simply fill out the form below and then in 500 words or less, tell us about your academic and cultural experiences and how taking the time to study abroad has made you a citizen of the world. By submitting your Letter to George you are granting permission for George Mason University to post your letter on our web site. Letters to George may be edited for content. When completing your Letter to George please be sure to include as much of the following information as possible.
- At which university are you studying, in what city/country, and how much time will you spend in the host country?
- What is it like to live in another country and explore historical sites you may have only ever read about or seen on TV?
- Were there any interesting or unusual reasons why you chose this location?
- How has this experience opened your eyes to cultural differences?
Letters to George wants your photos, too! Share with us pictures that represent your time spent abroad and the location you were studying in. Please note that because some pictures may require releases from individuals in the photo you should submit a photo release form (photo release form for minors) with each image.
